Trivia Crack: Brain Quiz Games is a trivia app from etermax that turns general knowledge into a fast, competitive game. It first showed up around 2013 and quickly became one of the most popular quiz apps on mobile. You can find it on Google Play and the App Store, and it has been downloaded more than 500 million times across both platforms. The app is free to download, though you will need to create an account if you want to play with friends or save your progress. There are in-app purchases for coins and extra spins, and you will also see ads between rounds unless you pay to remove them.

Using the app is simple. You pick a category, answer questions, and try to beat your opponent before they beat you. Each match is split into rounds, and you spin a wheel to land on topics like science, history, entertainment, art, geography, or sports. A good tip is to start with the categories you know best, because winning those rounds gives you more chances to control the wheel later. Another tip is to watch your timer. Some questions look easy, but the clock moves fast, so reading carefully matters. If you are new, play a few practice rounds before jumping into random matches. You can also add friends and send them challenges, which makes the game more fun than playing alone.

I have tried a few other quiz apps, like QuizUp and Trivia.io, and I still come back to Trivia Crack. QuizUp had a nice social side, but the matches often felt slower and the question pool was not as deep for me. Trivia.io is fine for quick rounds, but it feels more limited. Trivia Crack gives me a better mix of categories, and the head-to-head format keeps me coming back. The app also runs well on older phones, which matters if you do not upgrade every year. I like that I can play a full match in a few minutes, and I do not have to sit through long setup screens. For a free trivia app, it does a lot right, and that is why it stays on my phone.

Features

  • 🎡 The wheel spin adds real suspense. In Trivia Crack, you do not just pick a category every time. You spin, and where it lands can change the whole match. In Trivia.io, the category choice feels more direct and less dramatic.
  • 🧠 The question mix is wide and stays fresh. You get science, history, art, entertainment, geography, and sports in one game. Some quiz apps lean too hard on pop culture, but this app keeps a better balance.
  • 👥 Playing with friends is easy. You can challenge people you know, not just random players. That makes Trivia Crack feel more personal than many other quiz apps on Google Play.
  • ⚡ Rounds are short and snappy. A match does not drag. You can download the app, install it, and be in a game within a minute or two.

Pros

  • 🌟 The app is friendly for casual players. Compared with QuizUp, it is easier to pick up and play without a long learning curve.
  • 🌟 It works well on both Android and iOS. Some similar apps feel better on one platform, but Trivia Crack feels smooth on both.
  • 🌟 The friend challenge system is strong. Trivia.io has matches, but Trivia Crack makes it simpler to keep playing with the same people.

Cons

  • 💸 Ads can get annoying. If you play free, you will see them often between rounds. QuizUp felt less pushy with ads in my experience.
  • 💸 Coins and power-ups push you toward in-app purchases. You can play without paying, but some extras feel locked behind a paywall.
  • 💸 The question difficulty can be uneven. Sometimes you get easy questions, and other times the same round feels much harder than Trivia.io.
