Quiz Blitz: Test Brain Game is a trivia app made by Mno Go Apps. It is the kind of genre you open when you want a quick, light brain workout. The app first showed up around 2020 and you can get it on Google Play and the App Store. It has passed millions of installs, so it is clearly popular. You can download it for free, and you do not need to register or make an account to start playing. There are ads between rounds, and there are in-app purchases if you want to remove ads or buy extra coins. Nothing is forced on you, which is nice.

Using the app is simple. You pick a category, read the question, and tap one of the answer choices before the timer runs out. The faster you answer, the more points you get. A good tip is to play in short sessions, maybe ten or fifteen minutes, because the questions start to repeat after a while. Another tip: save your coins for hint power-ups instead of spending them on skipping hard questions. If you get stuck, the fifty-fifty option helps a lot. Also, watch the daily bonus. It gives you free coins just for opening the app once a day, and that adds up fast. The install is small, so it runs fine even on older phones.

Compared with similar apps like Trivia Crack or Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, I keep coming back to Quiz Blitz. Trivia Crack has more social play, and the Millionaire app has that TV show feel, but both feel heavier to me. Quiz Blitz is faster and more casual, which fits my routine better. I do not need to log in with Facebook or invite friends to enjoy it. I just open it, play a few rounds, and close it. The ads are there, sure, but they are not as aggressive as in some other free trivia apps I tried. That is the main reason I stuck with this one instead of the others.

Features

  • 🎮 The game modes keep things fresh. There is classic mode, a survival mode, and quick matches. In Trivia Crack you mostly get the same flow, but here you can switch things up when one mode gets boring.
  • ⏱️ The timer pressure is the standout for me. Questions move fast, so it feels more exciting than slower quiz apps. It keeps my attention in a way that long, relaxed trivia games do not.
  • 💡 The hint system is generous. You earn coins from playing, and you can use them on hints and fifty-fifty. In some similar apps, you have to pay real money to get help, but here you can grind for it.
  • 📶 It works offline for some modes. That is a big one for me on the subway. Most trivia apps I tried need a connection every single time.

Pros

  • 😀 It is easy to pick up. No tutorial wall, no account setup. Compared with Trivia Crack, I was playing within seconds.
  • 😀 The install is light, so it does not eat up much storage on my phone.
  • 😀 The ad load is lighter than in many free quiz apps. It is still there, but it does not interrupt every single round.
  • 😀 The question pool is wide, covering history, science, movies, and more, so it does not feel one-note like some smaller trivia apps.

Cons

  • 😕 Questions repeat after you play for a while. Trivia Crack seems to refresh its pool more often.
  • 😕 The ads can still get annoying during long sessions, even if they are lighter than in other free apps.
  • 😕 There is no real multiplayer with friends unless you count leaderboards. Kahoot and Trivia Crack do social play much better.
  • 😕 Some categories feel thin. Music and sports, for example, run out of fresh questions faster than history or science.
