It first launched a few years back and you can grab it for free on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Last I checked, it has well over 10 million installs on Google Play alone, which shows a lot of people use it. The app is completely free to download and install, and you don't need to pay anything to use the core features. You do have to register with a Ford account to link your car, which is straightforward. While there's no in-app purchase for basic stuff, there are optional subscription services like Ford Pro™ for commercial fleets that come with some costs.

Using the app is pretty simple once you sync it with your car. You just open it up, and you can remotely start or lock your doors, check fuel level or EV charge status, and even schedule a start time in the morning. A good tip I'd give is to set up the “Remote Start” feature with a timer so your car's ready when you leave for work. Also, the “Vehicle Locator” is a lifesaver when you forget where you parked in a busy lot, it shows the car's GPS location on a map. For service, you can schedule maintenance appointments right from the app, which saves a phone call.
